Rules for adults teaching junior
students
Do not
make any kind of contact with a student of under 16 years of age,
outside the club training session.
Do not
give any kind of gift to a student under 16 years of age.
Do not get involved with any part of an under 16 year Olds personal
life, if you are informed of anything unusual report it to the head
of the association and a joint decision will be made on how to proceed
with the situation.
Do not become over friendly with younger students, this involves
any kind of physical contact such as hugging, cuddling, patting
Etc as although innocent, this may not be so seen by another adult
or a parent.
Never escort a junior away from the training area unless it is a
medical emergency or serious problem that cannot be dealt with in
the normal training arena. If a junior has to be taken away from
the main arena, inform another instructor and take another student
with you( preferably a student who is older and not related to the
first student).
Do not offer or give junior students any kind of lift to or from
the club, unless exceptional circumstances as you are leaving yourself
open to be accused of various misgivings.
Do not demonstrate techniques on junior students unless it is the
very last possible option available to you.
Do not offer junior students any kind of food or drink.
Never allow a junior member of the club to visit your private home
address and never teach a junior student on a one to one situation.
